This is a traditional 200 years old Cycladic architecture house situated 12 km from Naxos town- a key position because you are away from noisy town, very close to the most beautiful beaches and the mountainous picturesque villages. The temple of Demeter is only a five-minute drive by car. Living in this house made out of 60 centimeters stone walls and wooden beams on the roofs ceilings is a unique experience! There is no real need for air-conditioning, some guests may need it so there are two air condition units plus three fans. There is a bakery and mini market in the village plus a well-known taverna. The village is very lively in the months of July and August. There are traditional music and dancing festivals in Sagri and all around the island. Nearest beaches are: Plaka beach 6.3km, Kastraki 7.8km, Mikri Vigla 9.6km, Alyko 11km and Agiasos 12km. The house is surrounded by high walls. As you enter the house on your right there is a kitchen with a small courtyard covered with bamboo, then there is a bigger courtyard which is uncovered and on your right again there is bedroom with its own bathroom, a double bed and if needed a foldable single bed. As we go on there is the main building with a lounge area with a double bed and a traditional old couch that is also a bed if needed. There are some short passages that lead to the bathroom and the traditional cellar where they kept the olive, grains, wine etc. Finally, a few stairs lead to the upper bedroom, again there are 2 short passages (doors) below 1.70m with 2 single beds and the terrace where you can enjoy the view to the village and the mountains. There are various activities available on the island such as: windsurfing, kitesurfing, stand up paddle, kayak lessons and rentals, bicycle or electric bicycle tours around the island for mountain riders or road, scuba diving, Sailing around small Cyclades islands, horse riding, culinary experience – food tours, yoga classes, mosaic lessons, ceramics lessons, birdwatching, go-karts etc.
