The Campsaround team had the honor to attend and participate at the Tourists Awards 2022, under the auspices of Capsule T Travel & Hospitality Accelerator, along with 2 other winning travel tech startups of the Acceleration Program, Vivestia and Hotellisense. At this annual event, held on 9 May at the Foundation of the Hellenic World in Athens, the significant contribution to the Greek tourism industry was recognized, with an emphasis on quality and innovation in travel, hospitality and leisure.
The Tourism Awards in Greece are an annual event organized by Boussias Events to recognize excellence and innovation in the Greek tourism industry. They are the largest such awards in Greece, highlighting and rewarding the best practices of the country’s tourism firms in a variety of areas such as travel, hospitality, and leisure. The awards not only assist recipients gain attention and credibility, but they also serve as quality benchmarks and provide feedback for continuous improvement. Every year, the ceremony is a significant event in the tourism calendar, drawing major industry participants and offering a forum for highlighting successful initiatives.
At the Tourism Awards 2022, CapsuleT Travel & Hospitality Accelerator was honored for its significant contributions to the industry. Mrs. Katerina Saridaki, Director of CapsuleT, received the honorary award from the Deputy Minister of Development and Investments, Mr. Christos Dimas, while Mr. Alexandros Vassilikos, President of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels and the accelerator’s inspiration, accompanied them on stage.This recognition was for their dedication over three years to supporting technological startups in the Greek tourism sector. CapsuleT’s efforts were highlighted during the event, where their achievements in fostering innovation and supporting startups like Campsaround, Vivestia and Hotellisense were showcased.
Campsaround’s team participation in the Awards provided numerous benefits, particularly in terms of visibility and networking. By displaying their unique ideas at such a prestigious event, they were able to demonstrate their progress to a large audience, including industry experts and discuss with many professionals, exchange thoughts and new ideas.
Last but not least, among the awards presented during the event, Odyssey Eco Farm, which is a glamping site included in the Campsaround platform, won the Golden Glamping Award. We are really proud of this award to one of the greatest eco glamping sites in Greece and one of the first to enter the Campsaround platform.
