Angeliki and Marinos, the idea’s creators, created a modest paradise with trees, plants, flowers, and shadings in the heart of Mycenae’s hamlet and on the road from Argos to the Mycenae ancient site with a lot of personal effort. They discovered in the early 1970s that visitors from all over the world wanted to see the ancient palace of Golden Mycenae, the Lions’ Gate, and the Tombs of Agamemnon and Clytemnestra.

Their vision was to host and provide amazing moments of relaxation in nature, as well as enabling their guests to enjoy their stay in a welcoming atmosphere of calm and quiet. In 1974, Camp Mycenae opened its doors and welcomed the first guests. Since then, travelers from more than 80 different countries have come and left their comments in the legendary Camping Guestbook, which still exists today.
