Camping Kastanis is located on the beautiful and hospitable island of the Cyclades, Amorgos. In a lively place with a comfortable place to spend your holidays on the island, the hosts welcome you with all the comforts and amenities of an organized campsite.

Just 5 minutes from the port of Katapola, you will find a shady place with trees and reeds, space for tents and caravans or motorhomes and places with mountain or sea views.

Whether you are a camping enthusiast in a tent or in your caravan here you can relax with both options and the comfort offered by the facilities of Camping Kastanis.

The facilities provide you with everything you need to enjoy your vacation. Electricity, hot water, shared kitchen with fridge, internet, minimarket and storage boxes are just some of the amenities you will find at your disposal. In the camp area there is also the restaurant and café-bar “Skepardies” with the possibility for breakfast or lunch of the day with traditional dishes and homemade flavors. You can also enjoy your drink in the evening overlooking the port of Katapola. Free parking is available on site for all campers. Of course, there is also the possibility of free transportation from the port to/from the campsite. The large outdoor areas as well as the possibility of staying for more than 2 people favour the stay of families in the campsite. The beach of Agia Anna – the most famous of the island for shooting the movie “Infinite Blue” – is only a quarter away by car. The beaches of the island are not all organized and this is the beauty of the place. So make sure you ask in advance so you can get organized properly!

The camping site is amazing! Bathrooms and common spaces are always clean and the restaurant and mini market have some good options for breakfast and lunch. Noise complaints I have seen in other reviews just vary depending on the people you have around your tent, so I wouldn't put that up to the camping. Also on a very convenient locations, since it makes the distances to everywhere shorter.

The atmosphere is Nice, it's a relax camping. But I have to say the maintenance of the facilities are very poor, the toilets and showers are very old and they needed to be changed many years ago! because of this it doesn't feel confortable and hygienic. And the camping is also not pet friendly. I have shared my concerns with the lady in the reception.

By far the best camping site I've ever been!!! I've been coming to Amorgos for seven years and the island along with all the amazing experiences I've had wouldn't have been as great if it wasn't for this place. Amazing people, great food, great prices and the most beautiful camping spot. I can't recommend it enough so if you ever consider visiting the island, you definitely have to stop by camping Kastanis.

My friends all stay at this place and they say it's fine, but I've never been able to join them because they don't allow dogs. It's a campground, not a 5-star hotel, the no dog policy doesn't make any sense. What can they possibly destroy?

The camping is super basic but worth the 5€ a day. The toilets are falling apart as are the showers, simply in awful condition. The reception staff however is awfully rude as well as lying about correspondence or additional hidden costs. It's best to stay away from this camping if you want to have smooth communication and a fun place to stay. Making the booking itself should ring a bell. We made the booking in April or May and we got our first response in July, our entire booking wasn't confirmed until 3 days before our trip. I'm disappointed that my will to support a local family business became a lesson on how you don't provide 'service'. On top of everything else I would like to add how disrespectful it is to have a packed camping during a time like this. We are in a pandemic and everything is supposed to run on 80% capacity. Nevertheless our tents are stack together with only one foot distance before you fall on someone else's tent. Also the restaurant is overcrowded at all times. It is clear they are not following any of the designated rules applied by the government.
