Situated in the foothills of the Balkan Mountains (Stara Planina), Campsite Kapinovski Monastery is nestled near two remarkable sites of Bulgaria’s cultural and historical significance: the Kapinovski Monastery “Saint Nikolay, the Wonderworker” and the Plakovsky Monastery “Saint Ilia, the Prophet.”
The campsite boasts a strategic location on the map, being approximately 200 kilometers from Bucharest and near a major thoroughfare, allowing convenient access to Bulgaria’s southern neighbors, Greece, and Turkey.
A mere 20 kilometers from Veliko Tarnovo, the former Bulgarian capital and a significant tourist and historical hub in the Balkans, the campsite is enveloped by the awe-inspiring landscape characteristic of the Stara Planina pre-Balkan massif. This includes picturesque waterfalls, serene forests with winding trails, and a star-studded night sky.
Amenities at the campsite include a restaurant offering local dishes, a playground, and complimentary internet access.
