Mystras’ Castle View camping area is a short walk from the Byzantine archeological site, which is located near the campground. Castleview, located beneath Mount Taygetos and surrounded by olive and mulberry trees, is in perfect harmony with its natural environment. Castleview is approximately 6 kilometers from the center of Sparta, approximately 1 kilometer from old Mystras, which contains a wealth of historical and cultural information, and approximately 500 meters from the village of New Mystras. It is 250 kilometers from Athens and approximately 6 kilometers from the center of Sparta. Traditional (more than a century old) Greek village where visitors can meander the cobblestone streets and stop in one of the many cafés for a cup of Greek coffee or a glass of ouzo.

A return after more than ten years on this camping. Our favourite spot was still available. Nicely situated between some olive trees to provide shadow and to host our hammock. Great pool to cool down after a hot day. Unfortunately the so called “new” sanitairy was already a bit worn out. Broken shower pipes caused a shower to the ceiling. And on the day we came there was no cleaning at all. Also the garbage cans on the campsite were more than full. We had to ask the people to empty them. A bit a shame since the price is quiet high.

One of the best maintained campsites we have ever seen - and we travel a lot. Situated in an olive grove, lush lawn, shade and sun, no fixed sites/keine Parzellierung. Well kept pool. Sanitary blocks modern, clean, in fact hotel standard. Very friendly staff, nice tavern. Quiet despite next to a road because the road is minor and there is not a lot of traffic. Within walking distance of the village. A great starting point for Mystras.

More on the pricy side for camping, no washing machine. The owner is not really helpfull or friendly. And they are really strict that you and your stuff is gone after 12:00 am. At least toilets are clean.

Beautiful Camping site which is very close to Sparta and Mystras. The owner is super nice and welcoming! I lost my phone on the way to town on the street and he drove all the way by his motor scooter to find my phone. I am truly grateful! Thanks a lot for the wonderful stay!

Quiet camping, clean and very close to beautiful attractions in the area. The toilets and showers look renovated and are very clean. The swìmming pool is an oasis of coolness
