A beautiful field, suitable for a relaxing camp, is located in the center of the village of Argalasti in South Pelion, Thessaly. It is built on a fertile plateau, 40 km southeast of the city of Volos. It is an important commercial and tourist center of the region with a rich cultural tradition. Argalasti is a stopping point for those heading to the nearby beaches of Pagasitikos Gulf (Horto, Milina, Kalamos, Lefokastro) or the Aegean (Potistika, Melani, Paltsi, Platanias). Near the town square is the church of Saints Peter and Paul, built in 1886, with a marble bell tower built in 1913.

Nearby there are 2 supermarkets, 2 pharmacies, 2 gas stations, health center, 3 ATM’s for money withdrawal, postoffice and many small shops such as grocery stores, restaurants, cafes, clothing and accessories stores, dry cleaners, bookstore, home and building supplies stores and of course several guest houses.

Argalasti is a year-round destination to see and explore the beauties of the mountain of the Centaurs by hiking on traditional cobblestone paths or horseback riding through green trails.

Especially in the summer season, you can attend many different kinds of events and also take small boat trips to beautiful sea destinations or explore the bottom of the Pagasitikos Gulf with organized diving.

And of course, you have the opportunity to taste and buy traditional local products such as fresh eggs and meat, fresh fruit, organic olive oil and wine.
