Cusco | Upis Community – Upis Campsite – Wayna Ausangate
Experience Your First Day with Ausangate Ahead
We’ll pick you up early from Cusco and head to Upis, the starting point of our hike. After meeting the trekking team, we’ll set off to the Upis camp for lunch, surrounded by the impressive Ausangate Mountain and stunning scenery.
In the afternoon, we’ll continue our hike to Wayna Ausangate, where you’ll observe grazing wildlife. Enjoy tea and dinner at our camp, nestled among the towering Andean mountains, before settling in for the night.

In the afternoon, you’ll have ample time to relax and explore the area. Hike around the lakes and capture memorable photos. In the evening, savor a delicious dinner before settling in for the night.

Start your day early as we embark on the trail, offering spectacular views of glaciers and green valleys. Soon, you’ll be greeted by the majestic Ausangate Mountain and the vibrant colors of Rainbow Mountain. We’ll pause for lunch in Anantapata.
In the afternoon, we’ll continue our ascent for about two hours to reach a breathtaking vantage point overlooking the expansive valley. Afterward, head to the camp to watch the sunset behind Rainbow Mountain. Enjoy dinner and a well-deserved night’s rest.

Visit Rainbow Mountain Before the Crowds
This morning, we’ll head to Rainbow Mountain early to experience its full beauty before the large crowds arrive. Afterward, we’ll journey to the Red Valley, a surreal landscape that feels like another planet. The stunning scenery will leave you in awe.
Later, we’ll hike down to our lunch spot and then board our private transport back to Cusco. We’ll drop you off at your accommodation for some well-deserved rest.
