WILD CAMPING PALADINI is a welcoming space created by an international community of volunteers with a view to having minimum impact on the environment. Situated in an ancient chestnut grove on a medieval track between the villages of Chiozza and Castiglione di Garfagnana, this chestnut flour farm is smack in the middle of a natural paradise. Paladini is an oasis of calm where you will feel welcome, included and relaxed for the duration of your stay. Cars are left on the road 300 metres above the camp, which is accessed by foot along a medieval track.
Most people bring their own tent and sleeping equipment. Alternatively you can rent one of our four-metre Bell tents (for max 4 people) complete with wooden floor.
Guest have full use of our communal outdoor kitchen, camp fire and bbq area, meditation spaces, sauna and relaxation areas. There is a small waterfall and swimming spot under a medieval bridge a 20 minute walk away, and hikes along ancient mule tracks to several medieval hilltop towns nearby. Feel free to join our spontaneous musical evenings around the fire or to just do your own thing in the peaceful envirnoment of the camping area.
