This piece of land is located in the south of Lesvos island, in Greece, in a quiet village called Vatera. It is the perfect destination if you’re looking for a place to park your RV and enjoy the greek summer in its most original form!
Vatera is famous for its long beach (8 kilometers) and its unique, natural beauty. It is never too crowded with tourists and simultaneously there are plenty of beach bars, restaurants, taverns, and mini markets around for the visitors and the locals to choose from. There is also a pharmacy and a bakery with delicious traditional treats. The closest hospital is a 10-minute drive away, at Polichnitos village. During the summer months, there are local festivals with music and food that one can enjoy. However, due to its picturesque landscape and its amazing lushness, Vatera is a place to visit all year around.
Additionally, there are so many places one can visit while staying at Vatera. Molyvos and Petra are famous and lovely picturesque villages, Eressos is famous for its nightlife and cultural festivals, Sigri is known for the museum of the petrified forest, Plomari is a beautiful village where ouzo-traditional drink- is produced and the capital of Lesvos, Mytilene, is a historic place, vibrant and full of its unique tradition. All of these places are just one hour away from Vatera. Of course, a visit to Turkey (Aivalik) is very accessible, since it’s an hour away from Mytilene and the cost is about 20 euros for a round trip.
There is also a video shot by a drone that we can send you if you are interested, so you can have a better taste of the place.
We would be more than happy to welcome you and share with you our authentic sense of greek hospitality, flavors and tradition!
