5 months agoWe had the best time at the Eco Lodge! Great accommodation to enjoy nature with beautiful set up. George gave us the best trekking maps, tips and guidance! Him and his family make you feel at home and really looked after us, true natural hospitality… Gracias!

7 months agoMost amazing camping site. The host, George, is a soft spoken person who has the most invaluable advice about routes nearby the site and hiking in general. The camping is clean, comfortable, definitely recommend!

2 years agoWe had a wonderful time at the Wild Nature Eco Lodge Camp. The camp is beautifully situated .. lots of trees&green, fresh water from the well and nice outdoor seating areas. The little byzantine chapel on the grounds contains beautiful frescos. Excellent company from our knowledgable hosts with lots of ideas for what to explore in the greater area (precise maps and signs for the trails). The cabins are very comfortable (with private bathroom) and cosy! Great hiking trails, great little Taverne close by in the village. We were lucky to find this place in the times of the COVID-19 situation as we appreciated the mindful approach of our hosts to ensure one another's safety. This place is perfect for everyone looking for quiet (!), nature, hiking and rest. We will be back for sure!

a year agoA unique experience in a beautiful environment with a huge variety of activities. Such a calm and relaxing place to enjoy and discover Crete's beauty through hiking, biking and kayaking. Very helpful and friendly staff too. I will definitely visit again for a longer period!

9 months agoWe had a bad experience. We arrived in May and from the back side to the campground following the route planer. After half hour hike up the hill we ended up at the back gate which was closed. Since it would’ve been an hour in the hot sun around the camp ground and the area had a caterpillar plague we decided to carefully jump over the gate to ask somebody for some water and eventually a short cut way out of the area. After some minutes a guy appeared and started shouting at us how bad persons we were that we jumped over the fence. Even though we directly apologised and tried to explain ourselves he kept on shouting and blaming us, was super unfriendly and threw us out of the place. In the end we didn’t even come to ask if they ever would open and have a free place because he was so unfriendly. The area actually looks nice - however in the time we went there they were thousands of caterpillars everywhere who ate all the leaves from the trees. The guy said this would be a normal phenomenon till end of June. Anyway we will definitly not go back there.
