Camping Velingrad is on a 6-acre plot and has 36 spots for campers, caravans, and tents.
The smallest accommodations are 8×7 m to 9×7 m, or 56 m2 to 63 m2. All of the campsites are numbered and separated by grass, gravel, and berms to keep them from getting muddy and flooded when it rains or snows. For each plot, there are connections for water supply and electricity (up to 2 kW). Bathrooms and toilets are shared and there is a self-service dining room with a kitchen and a barbecue.
The camping has four pools with mineral water, three outdoor pools, and one indoor pool. There is also a Finnish salt sauna, a steam bath, a shock pool, and a room to relax. For the kids, there is a game room and a playground.
Only guests who have booked can leave a review.

3 months agoAvoid this campsite in weekends/holydays when regular customers arrive. Some of them play loud music at 2 AM, make a lot of noise by slaming the camper door dozens of times and even running the engine of the camper in the middle of the night. All these night activities are not interrupted by the night guard since the ones making noise and disturbing the guests who want to sleep at 2 AM are frequent customers. Their behavior is tolerated by the management. Otherwise next morning they would have been asked to leave the campsite, which it did not happen. My wife and I left the campsite a day earlier without risking an other sleepless night. The managemet refused to return the money for the day not spent in the campsite. Judging by the reaction of the receptioninst when I complained about the noise made by some of the guests I'm sure this was not the first situation of this kind. Bisically the receptionist had no reaction, in oder words "if you want to leave the campsite one day earlier then go ahead". I visited the campsite at the beginning of December 2022.

7 months agoLovely place with many services unfortunately stopping other guests from making noise is not among them. We enjoyed the pools and sauna; took advantage of the washing machine and in general had a good stay. There were loads of children with large water guns which was fun for them… Two campers arrived at 22.30 and parked near their friend, 3 campers in total, all right in front of us. They proceeded to grill meat and have a lively meal. At 23:30 I spoke with them and asked them to lower their voices. At this point the entire campground was quiet except for them. At 00:30 when they were still talking loudly and laughing, my husband went and spoke with the management. The guard came and spoke with them and they all, including the guard, laughed. He said OK! to my husband and walked away. The group proceeded to talk loudly and laugh until 3:00am and the staff did nothing. Obviously we had a horrible nights sleep. This is unfortunate because the place is quite nice. Not sure I would say 5 star resort like some other reviewers but it’s nice as campgrounds in Europe go. The staff needs to ensure all guests have a good experience and this did not happen during our stay.

4 months agoThe best camper camping ground in the area! Unfortunately a lot of outside people are allowed to enter daily, which ruins the atmosphere and whole idea of the place.
