Located in one of the most beautiful areas in Northern Crete, Camping Mithimna is situated next to an idyllic sandy beach and offers panoramic views over the Gulf of Kastelli and the surrounding mountains. Located in Drapanias (Municipality of Mithimna), Camping Mithimna is 30 kilometers west of Chania and 4 kilometers east of Kissamos. It is a family-run establishment.
Camping Mithimna may also be accessed quickly and simply by taking advantage of the hourly public bus service that runs between Chania and Kissamos.
Cleaning facilities for cooking and washing are available at the campsite, as is 24-hour hot and cold running water. The campsite also has a mini-market, a restaurant serving an extensive menu of Cretan cuisine, and a bar for guests to relax in after a day of seeing the island. It also offers air-conditioned rooms and flats for rent, as well as a vehicle and motorcycle rental service, as well as guided tours to Elafonisi, Gramvousa, and the Samaria Gorge.

6 months agoEverything people say about this camping it true. Very nice large tents good price friendly staff. They have a restaurant with tables adjoining the beach though unfortunately for the beach sunset crowd the sun does not drop Into the sea but to the west - damn shame how nature gets in the way of joyous romanticism. One complaint I had was not the owners fault. That was some feral neighbours - adults in the night kids in the morning - who shouted all around me. Three families and I was in the middle. However there was deck chairs in the beach and with my trusty sleeping bag I got two decent night sleeps there.

6 months agoStayed here last night for our first ever camping experience (myself and toddler daughter) and it was fantastic. The team were all so friendly and approachable and helpful. The facilities were exactly what you need and more! Great night sleep and fantastic location. Will definitely be back again and have been telling everyone how successful our first camping adventure was.

9 months agoIt was our first outing with our new camper van. We liked the camping site very much. A very nice welcoming atmosphere, with lots of very friendly regulars and visitors, alike. The staff in the taverna and shop were also extremely kind and the service and facilities were good, too. My only complaints would be

9 months agoBest camping ever! We had so much fun, the tents are well equiped and big enough for four people. The kitchen is decent, everything is clean. Would recommend!!!!

8 months agoNice place, but there wasn't any cutlery or pots in the cooking place. So, no chance for cooking, if you don't carry all the things with you
