It’s easy to see why a lot of people go to Kruje for a day trip. There’s a castle, an old bazaar, and a pretty medieval center to wander through, and it’s only an hour’s drive from Tirana. If you stay at Camping Kruje, you’ll be able to do a lot more than just scratch the surface of this lovely little town. You’ll also be in a great spot for seeing more of northeast Albania since you’ll be between a mountainous national park and a rocky coastline.
On top of that, this quiet rural site is a great place to relax. The pitches are nice and big, and there are plenty of places to nap in the shade among the trees and plants that grow naturally in the gardens. If you walk around the property, you’ll see that this green place has its own vegetable gardens and keeps chickens. There’s a small playground for kids to play in, and there’s a lot of room for football and volleyball games, which often start up in the summer. During the busy season, there are sometimes barbecue dinners, and there are picnic tables all over the place for other times. The town center of Kruj is only five minutes away by car, and there are many places to eat there.

8 months agoA wonderful stay! The owner was so nice to us, we enjoyed talking with, whenever we were at the camp. We also talked a lot with another worker there, who was also so nice and very helpful, when we had a bit of a situation with a minor car crash, and had to talk to some local insurance. All the facilities were nice and clean, there really isn’t anything bad to say about the place or the people. I will definitely be back some day.

3 months agoSmall campground but very affordable. It has clean facilities and Shpetim is a very nice host who helps where he can. It's great that he charges separately for person's and cars. In this way I could park the car safely while I was away for a couple of days. Next season Shpetim is planning to open a restaurant on the campground. Looking forward to that.

11 months agoOne of the best camp sites that I've been to. The owner is so welcoming and helpful, it's crazy. He gave me a lot of tips of what to do and showed me the way around the city. The showers were great and they were even building new one which should be finished soon, same with the toilets. The space is not huge but more than enough for me. I even met some really nice french guys. The cat is one of the best features, it is always ready to be cuddled and really sweet. Also the view around the mountain range is awesome, especially around sunset.

9 months agoNice and large camp ground. Toilets and showers are very modern (probably built recently), though the water pressure was not that great. Price for a single person tent was €6 and it was cheaper than the other camp in the area. Good for caravans as well. The owner is very friendly. There is a guard during the night. I was pleased with my stay and recommend it to anyone passing by.
